The web based software system facilitates the needs of the hospital and transcription units to maintain the medical records in a web-based interface. This includes the facility for the dictators to send their voice files to the transcription unit, receive transcripts, and maintain a working copy of the transcript.

The software system is designed in a hierarchical tree system, so as to fit the requirements of hospitals, having multiple branches in many locations.

Dictation Options :

  • The dictator can send multiple voice files at a time using the web-based interface.

  • The interface is user-friendly and elegant, providing all the information that he requires.

  • The dictator can flag a voice file as STAT or mark files for high priority turn around time.

  • The dictator can also download the voice files whenever he requires them. As the interface is web-based, his files and reports are accessible from anywhere.

Transcription Process :

  • Dictator can retrieve transcripts from the same easy-to-use, web-based interface.

  • Dictator can filter transcripts by the date he has dictated them.

  • Dictator can maintain a working copy of the transcript.

  • Dictator has access for both the Sharp Version and the Working Copy version of the transcript.

  • Dictator can flag a transcript as completed, so that he needn't edit it anymore.

  • Dictator can search transcripts by patient name, date of dictation, medical record number, etc.
